नारायणपुर-दंतेवाड़ा सीमा पर मुठभेड़ से नक्सलियों में हड़कंप : झीरम घाटी हमले में शामिल दरभा डिवीजन के चार नक्सलियों का आत्मसमर्पण, इनामी माओवादी पांडु और महिला नक्सली भी शामिल
नारायणपुर-दंतेवाड़ा सीमा पर हुए मुठभेड़ से नक्सली सकते में हैं. इसका परिणाम है कि वर्ष 2013 में झीरम घाटी हमले को अंजाम देने वाले दरभा डिवीजन के चार नक्सलियों ने आत्मसमर्पण किया है, इनमें से एक माओवादी पांडु पर एक लाख रुपए का इनाम था.
आत्मसमर्पण करने वाले सभी माओवादी दरभा डिवीजन के कांगेर नेशनल पार्क एरिया कमेटी के सदस्य हैं. आत्मसमर्पण करने वाले नक्सलियों में एक महिला माओवादी भी शामिल है. बस्तर पुलिस अधीक्षक सलभ सिन्हा ने इन्हें आत्मसमर्पण योजना के तहत लाभ और प्रोत्साहन राशि देने की घोषणा की है.
दरभा डिवीजन 2005 से 2015 तक नक्सली गतिविधियों का मुख्य केंद्र था, लेकिन 2016 के बाद से इसमें गिरावट आई है. वरिष्ठ नक्सली नेताओं के मारे जाने और आत्मसमर्पण के कारण क्षेत्र के अधिकांश नक्सलियों ने आत्मसमर्पण कर दिया है, जिससे नक्सली गतिविधियों में कमी आई है.
